Emergency contacts

Knowing who to contact to get help in an emergency can save lives.

Make sure you know what emergencies can affect you and who to call for help. Include these contacts in your household emergency plan and community emergency plan.

Police

Call 999 in an emergency.

In non-emergencies, call 101 or contact Norfolk Police online.

Fire

Call 999 in an emergency.

In non-emergencies, contact Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service online.

Ambulance or emergency medical help

Call 999 for life-threatening emergencies - like serious road traffic accidents, strokes and heart attacks.

To get urgent medical help or advice in a non-life-threatening emergency, call 111 or go to 111.nhs.uk.

Coastguard

Call 999 or 112 for emergencies at the coast or at sea.

You can also use a very high frequency (VHF) radio to contact the Coastguard in an emergency.

In non-emergencies, contact HM Coastguard online.

Flooding

If you are in immediate danger, call 999.

In non-emergency situations, call the Flooding Hotline on 0344 800 8013 or report flooding online.

Gas leak

If you smell gas or suspect a gas leak, call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.

Power cut

Call 105 or report and track a power cut on the UK Power Networks website.
